20 Minute Pizza Dough

I found this recipe on Youtube by CandidMommy. It makes an awesome pizza crust that is also great for a number of other things. Best of all, it requires no rising!
Oven Temperature: 400˚F
Baking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: One 14″-16″ pizza

1 1/2 tsp. yeast
1 cup warm water

1 tsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. olive or canola oil
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Additional olive oil as needed

In a large bowl, sprinkle the yeast and sugar over warm water. Mix and let it sit for 10 minutes or until foamy.
Add oil and salt to the yeast mixture, then stir.
Now, add in the flour and knead until smooth and elastic. Let the dough sit for 5 minutes.
Put your dough on a floured surface and roll out into your pizza shape. There are tons of amazing videos of people shaping pizza crusts and I definitely did some research before attempting my own pizza crust. If you want to make it easy, just roll out the dough. The way I did it was to flatten out the dough, then form an edge for the crust, then stretch the middle to make it thin while still leaving the edges thicker. Yes, your dough will probably tear and it will be frustrating. But trust me, when the crust bakes, it will magically transformed into this wonderul crispy crust with a chewy edge.
Add your sauce and toppings, and bake at 400˚F for 15 minutes.
You can also use this dough to make a number of things like cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, bread sticks, hamburger buns, and more.
